Does adding more water to Whey decrease the amount of protein? Can you mix Whey before you leave in the morning and drink it an hour or two later without losing any value? - submitted 3/28/2008
No, adding a scoop of protein to any amount of liquid will always be the same protein level. The only time you have to worry about the amount of liquid you add is when the liquid itself contains protein, i.e. Milk. For example, if you add 1 scoop of protein to 4oz of milk the protein will jump another 4gm, if you add 1 scoop of protein to 8oz of milk the protein will jump 8gm, etc.
Yes, the protein is very stable in a liquid environment. However, keeping it longer than three hours unrefrigerated can cause bacteria to start growing. So keep it cold.
